Simplified fundoscopy  exams

Optic nerve photo with stand
Optic nerve photo with stand

Easier views of the Retina in highest clarity possible

The Lens Stand™️ holds your lens in perfect focus. You can easily find the optic nerve or macula by following the red reflex in. You no longer have to awkwardly switch hands to examine each eye. Insert the Fundoscopy Stand™️ to easily see each eye without holding your lens.

A quick view requires no dilation!

You can visualize the optic nerve and macula in many patients for a ‘quick view’.  Dilation is best but with some practice you will be able to look into most eyes.

Eyephotodoc™️cameras allow photos even in low light levels

If you encounter a retinal finding photograph it immediately. The EyePhotoDoc™️ requires no flash and the ProCamera photo app flips your view to the correct anatomical position.
Adjustment of Lens Stand™️
Adjustment of Lens Stand™️

Adjustable for most lenses

The Fundoscopy Stand comes with a Velcro outside strap with a snap on it. The strap allows you to use it for a freehand exam or on the Fundoscopy Stand™️. It will work with most slit lamp lenses. We recommend that you choose your favorite lens and give us the dioptric power, and diameter. We will make it ‘Insert and examine’

Once you get familiar with it you can use many lenses. You will need to adjust the height and back focal length for different dioptric powers.

Why the Lens Fundoscopy Stand sets a new standard

The slit lamp was designed for external photos. Aspheric lenses were introduced around 1986 and revolutionized  Fundus examinations. We now add more precision and capabilities.
The Lens Stand permits the sharpest focus possible because the back vertex distance of the lens is perfectly focused. Since the lens is held steady, the doctor can adjust the reflections off the lens to obtain a clearer image. Noteworthy is you can use different magnifications. This was never possible when you had to hold the lens and focus the slit lamp!

Use the full 70 degree field of your slit lamp lens

The slit lamp lenses typically has a 70 degree field of view. With a slit to examine the retina you can only see a fraction of the field. The Lens Stand allows using the slit to scan the entire 70 degree field of view. It is done by loosening the centration control and sweeping the field.
